Do Good Girls Get Tattoos?

I’ve been restless for about 4-5 months now. At first I thought it was spring fever, but it’s September now and the restlessness is still there. In one of my earlier posts, I wrote that I wasn’t the type to get anything pierced or tattooed, so my hair usually took the bullet when I felt like I needed a change. I went blonde in April. Even then, it wasn’t that drastic a change.

What’s so wrong with a small tattoo? In a place that is well hidden from the public, but can still be accessed in case I ever feel the need to show it off. Maybe upper hip? I’ve heard that gravity isn’t too kind to tattoos. Even a small one? Maybe I’ll just get my belly button pierced.

Amanda—Amanda Gets Meme’d – Vol. 2 will be posted on Tuesday because of the Labor Day holiday. Thought I forgot, didn't you?

Go for it!

I got one this summer after wanting one for ages and I'm really pleased with it.

It hurts though. A lot. So small is good!

I'm in two minds about this. You see them a lot now, but if you have one where only selected people can see it, why not? Just have it where you can cover it if later you have second thoughts. Is this a trial balloon or are you really serious?

Just so you don't get it on your low back---we call those Skank Stamps.

Mine's above my right ankle area. It hurt getting it, but not that much. It's also in a good location so you can hang your leg outside the bathtub when you are unable to tolerate warm water immediately following. I suppose in court, if you're wearing a skirt, the judge/clients could see it, so I'd advise against it. As a wearer of long scrub pants, it's no biggie.

heehee...we call them tramp stamps. I'm thinking a lot smaller and more hidden. Really, i got the idea watching a rerun of Friends. JMB-the more I think about it, the seriouser I get.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Nah, go for the BB ring . . . (mine always surprises people because I'm so conservative, lol)

I have a scorpion on my lower, lower, lower, lower (get the idea?), lower stomach...that I got when I was 17 years old. I like it a lot because it's very hidden...even when I'm wearing a bikini. :) It really didn't hurt...and I doubt that it'll stretch in the future because it's low enough.

I got my second tattoo (a Sikh symbol that means creator/sustainer/destroyer) on New Years Eve...and the bf got his first (Japanese symbol for truth). We're already researching our next tattoos. So, beware--they are VERY addictive. :)

I'll have to post pictures of them now. :-D Hehe...

I say don't do it.
Do a Xena thing, and if you really feel it part of yourself, then do the tatoo.
But it will feel like wearing one piece of jwellery forever...
Good girls do tattoos too.

I am not a fan of tatoos on either sex. I guess if some masculine guy had like 1 masculine tatoo on a muscular arm that would be o.k. but 1 of our friends had a topless dancer that moved when his arm moved and to me that was a total turn off. Or I do like those surfer chains or whatever they are around the ankle on some guys.

But if I did it it would have to be tiny and something symbolic to me, you know something that conjures up good memories or some thing that represents my philosophies, etc.

I guess it would be fun to have it in a secret place that few would be privy to. Then you'd always know you had this little secret going on, bringing a smile to your face and someone special and maybe the OR staff. ;)

Not into piercings either, but if I did it would involve tiny well placed rhinestones or a belly button piercing. I do think the bb piercings are sexy on the right person.

I worked with a guy who was covered in tattoos on his back, chest and arms. You never saw it at work though because he always had a shirt on. He actually had a guy come to the house to do it for him. he also said they are addicting and he is always thinking about the next one. :)

My sons have tatts. They make me puke.

Tats are fine. Ladies of negotiable affection have had them for millennia.

The question is, do you mind how others see you? If you do not, then go ahead.

Cheers,
Felix.

Well, as my son says, tats make it easier to identify your body.

My very cool boss (woman) has tattoos. But only one can be seen when she is at work, a small one on her wrist.

I say, go for it. A little one in an inconspicuous place is the best of both worlds.

These days, seeing how everybody has one, the cool thing would be not to get one! Be unique, be different, be tattoo free.

What do you think about girls getting tatoos? Here is a poll: http://www.apopularitycontest.com/display_poll.php?ID=7195

Tramp stamps and butt hats (tat above the cheek) really low grade the wearer, unfortunately. A girl walking down the street in the summer with one looks to the casual observer as either a crack whore or fresh from a gangbang with the homies in a double-wide at the local trailer park. Basically it makes the woman look trashy, and as she ages it will really come back to haunt.

I have 2 tattoos and im only 17, one of a butterfly on my right hip which is easily hidden and one of a black japenese koi fish behind my left ear, they are not too small but they are not large. The first one alot but its definitly worth it.

I consider myself kind of a good girl i guess and no one has ever suspected me as a tattoo person.
