The Great Potato Chip Shortage of 2008

In the last month, I have gone through a gas shortage, a power shortage, a water shortage, a money shortage, and an ice shortage. I thought the worst was over, then tonight I saw this sign at the grocery store:

There is now a POTATO CHIP shortage.

All I can say is, there had better not be a chocolate shortage.

I'm with you there. If there is a chocolate shortage, I may will move to France in a neighborhood with a chocolatier.

Chips or choc shortage wont' affect me, but a rice shortage would!

Egads! This puts even the worldwide financial meltdown, and more importantly, my own impending ruin, smack dab in the background. At least now I have a focus: Hoard potatoes.
Thank you for the timely warning. The potato chip market has been deep fried in the bubbleof what Greenspan might call '"irrational exuberance" of the tuber variety.'

Well, I'm off...
Oh, I enjoy your blog, being an inveterate Medblog admirer, myself.
